Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

You've heard of a heart dog? A dog so special that it holds that most precious place in your heart. That was my sweet Kali.
Kali and I shared a bond and a love that I will carry with me for the rest of my days. Kali was a silly girl with a raving addiction to tennis balls. She ALWAYS had a tennis ball in her mouth and she would never give it to you....made it pretty hard to play catch, but we found ways around that! She slept beside me for her 10 short years, always my constant, reassuring shadow. Kali gave birth to six amazing puppies in 2007, one being our beloved Rocky.
We know in our hearts she's smiling down upon us and watching over Rocky and her adorable grand-daughter, Adrian. "Kali, you were such a great companion; constant, loyal and true. My heart will always wear the paw prints left by you."

Our sweet, funny, family golden Chamois passed peacefully at the age if 13 years 8 months. Chamois was a very special girl as she helped unite our blended family together. She was such an amazing gift to our combined 6 children, we will never forget her.
Chamois had so many funny antics that will make us smile forever....from hopping up the stairs backwards to destroying flip-flops; always while sporting her golden-grin. "We know that you are up at the bridge with Kali now looking over all of us....and chewing up flip-flops."
